By installing a V/G System on your Bonanza you will increase your aircraft’s margin of safety.

This is done by the V/G lowering your stall speed in virtually all flight configurations.

With BDS Vortex Generators you also retain positive aileron control and enhance your rudder authority in higher angles of attack. We are sure you will immediately notice an improvement in your aircraft.

Power off stalls* during flight test provided a 7 Knot decrease in stall speed. During 0 thrust stalls** the margin grew into the 10 to 12 knot range. There was even up to a 12 to 15 knot improvement*** in some 30 Degree bank turns.

Q: How do they work?

Each V/G is like a miniature wing tip in the air stream and generates it’s own vortex or tiny tornado. The vortex energizes the thin layer of dead air above the wing's surface. This results in the air remaining attached to the airfoil longer as the angle of attack increases.

If the aircraft finally stalls, the arrangement of the Vortex Generators causes the separation to begin at the inboard section of the wing, providing a conspicuous warning before the entire wing stalls.

The Vortex Generator Kit itself consists of an array of counter-rotation producing aluminum generators on the leading edge of the wings. The 33 and 36 models also have V/G’s located on the vertical stabilizer just forward of the rudder for greater rudder authority at low speeds. All are permanently attached using very high strength bonding epoxy.

Our V/G kit comes with everything needed for your mechanic or one of our installation centers to install it. Installation of the kit is quick, and easy. You’ll be amazed at the change in performance and handling.

Here are a few performance enhancements to look forward to:

*IO-520 idle @650RPM,10-550 idle @600RPM, IO470 idle @600RPM

**Propeller is running at the same speed as the aircraft is flying. (Generally 10-12 inches map when stalling)

***Power on or off
