Owners of older Beechcraft models no longer have to envy the large baggage compartments and attractive third windows found on the newer 35 models from Beech. Beryl D’Shannon Aviation now offers these two complementary STC'd and PMA'd modifications in an easy to install kit. Our kit will convert both of these items on your aircraft resulting in more space; better visibility and adding overall value to your plane. Having more room is always a welcomed idea to most pilots. The larger baggage compartment adds space for carrying those necessities of travel that typically had to be left at home or purchased on arrival. The larger third window adds visual appeal as it complements to perfection the graceful unbroken line beginning at the sloped windshield and sweeping back to the sharp edged tail. These two mods are a sure bet if you are looking to make a visual impact with many practical benefits.

Put an end to motorcycle-style airplane travel with our compartment mod. Arrive with a change of clothes that will not require getting out the iron. You will find yourself with plenty of room to hang clothes neatly on coat hangers. The compartment mod extends from station 151 to station 179; 28" deeper than the normal Bonanza without the extended baggage compartment, and basically 8" deeper than the S- or V-model airplane. An aft hat shelf is 14" deeper than that. You will find a new solid, cast aluminum assist handle that comes with the kit and is better than the original.

A larger compartment door is another addition to this mod. The door strengthens the fuselage due to the hat-section reinforcing process that is used. The larger door is exactly twice as long as the original door and has three bank-vault-type latches for positive latching and locking. With your new door there will be no need to drag cargo over the seats. The larger door allows entrance for those large, bulky items with no problem.

The extended baggage compartment is actually designed to handle extra bulk rather than extra weight. Fishing Poles, Skis, and other long items can be carried. If a split front seat is used, lengths up to 10 feet can be accommodated extending through the seats. With the Speed Sloped Windshield, there is an approximate length of twelve feet from the bottom of the windshield at the instrument panel cover to the back of the hat shelf. When traveling with four in an unmodified airplane, the rear-seat passengers have their heads right up against the baggage compartment bulkhead. It feels cramped. The extended baggage compartment provides more room, ends that cramped feeling, and makes rear-seat passengers feel like people instead of cargo. Combined with the third window kit, the increased light and visibility makes airplane travel a pleasure.
